On Saturday, Aug 29th, Bev Kelly, Kim King, and Amanda Kelly threw Monte and I the most wonderful couple's baby shower for lil girl White at our house in Alvarado! We had a great turn out of lots of family and friends and sooo much good food (and, of course, beer for the boys!) We got a lots of great stuff for her and we have officially started putting her room together since Evelyn (Monte's mom) is here for a week to help out! Thanks Bevy, Kim, and Amanda!!!!!

Richard Petty Driving Experience Weekend

August 1st....the day FINALLY came! Monte's big racing debut! Dad, Julie, Madison, and Reagan came up from Houston for the weekend to celebrate Monte's big 3-0! Not only did they show up ....but so did some random north Texas thunderstorms. This, of course, meant a rain delay for Monte's driving expereience. POOP! Well, since we LOVE Monte so much (because we got up at 5am to witness this wonderful experience) we did manage to get some pictures taken, plus, we had the rest of the day with family! Monte's dad, Kim, and his brothers (Hunter, Blaine, and Grant) also showed up to see Monte's big day as well... Soooo we try again the next day. Here a few pictures from the rainy day, Saturday.

After our rain delay on Saturday, Monte's dad and family came over the the house to visit. We ended up being pretty productive and moved some furniture upstairs to make room for Baby White. We even got our baby furniture put together!!! We are making progress! We celebrated that evening at Joe T's in Ft. Worth! We all big bellies by the time we left. Such great Mexican food!

Sunday came and off to Texas Motor Speedway for try #2. Dad, Julie and the kids came as well as Adam, Kim, and Holton and Patrick and Amanda. Julie, Amanda, Kim, and Adam did ride alongs too! They had a blast! Such a fabulous time and what a wonderful a lifetime experience.

Monte's 30th

Monte celebrated his 30th birthday on the 11th. Mom was passing through town and took us out Friday night to eat at the Oasis on Joe Poole Lake in Grand Prairie for an early birthday present! We had a blast!!! Nothing better than sitting on the lake! On Saturday, Monte, Patrick, Matt, Laura, and I went to try our luck at Lone Star Park watching the horses run. We figured since it was Monte's bday that we would have so luck...sadly that was not the case. Monte has received a TON of cards from family and friends and just a few gifts to open on his actual birthday...(with the help of Transformers!), however, his BIG present is on Aug. 1st when he drives in the Richard Petty Driving Experience. Can't wait!!!

19 Week Dr. Visit

Monte and I went for our 19th week baby bump appointment last week and well, Baby White was being shy so we didn't get to find out what if it's a mini-Mandy or mini-Monte. It kept it's legs pretty tightly closed. So....if it's a girl, she was being a lady! We did get some great pictures though. Hopefully next go around at 23 weeks we might be able to try again.

July 4th Weekend

Lucky for us, Monte was off Friday, Saturday AND Sunday for 4th of July Weekend so we decided to see our friends Tommy and Valerie! We left for Fredericksburg Thursday evening to meet up with Tommy and Valerie and off we traveled to Uvalde to spend the weekend at Valerie's family ranch. We had a blast fishing, sitting in the Frio River, hunting for pigs (...well, maybe that was more Monte and Tommy), and trying to stay cool in the Texas heat.

Rangers Game and Other Fun Stuff!

Monte I went to a Rangers game last Sunday and I was lucky enough to get to tag along....and to sit in a Suite!! Whoo Hoo! Thank goodness too...it was hot! Monte was doing some continuous education training and the "wives" were able to go. Lots of yummy food and free beer...for Monte, of course! We had a blast and looking forward to another Texas Rangers this week with Patrick and Amanda.

So as of Sunday, Monte and I are 16 weeks! Last Friday, we actually tried to do our own sonogram at Monte's clinic to see the lil' booger. Apparently it was having a fabulous time playing with the umbilical cord. I didn't take a very good picture, but you can kind of make a profile if you look hard. :)

Monte and I also had a doctor's appt. today. Everything seems to be right on schedule. Doctor seems to think my baby bump is doing great, heartbeat is about 170 bmp. Although, I think the doctor got it a little excited poking it around like that..geez. Also did some blood work today and some genetic testing, etc. We will know the results in a few weeks.
