Oct. 3rd Weekend

Whew! What a weekend. Defenitely an emotional rollercoaster. Some sad news, Monte lost his Uncle Dave to his fight against lung cancer. Monte was able to attend his funeral in Tyler, TX Saturday morning. Such a sad occasion, but it was a good feeling to see some family that he hadn't seen in awhile.

On Saturday morning, my friends Leah, Laura, Dava, and Stephanie threw me a girly baby shower at Leah's house in Alvarado. I had such a wonderful time with the "girls"....and they are amazing. I love them all so much!

After Leah's shower, I had time to come home....go for a Target run with Mom and Bruce, got home to lay down for 30 min. (which, I should have been laying down instead of running to Target..paid for that later)...just in time for Monte to get home and say "time to go to the next shower".

Monte's work threw us a wonderful shower at Dr. Steve's house. His fiancee Kay, Laura Calvert, Keri Vaugh, and Mary Pearce were the hostesses. Not only was it great shower, but the boys go to watch the Aggie game one t.v. (not that it was a great game or anything...but it kept the boys occupied).

We are so blessed to have such amazing friends and such supportive family! We love you guys!

Houston Shower

Julie, Mom, and one of my bestest friends, Mandy helped to throw Monte and I a wonderful shower at Clay's Restuarant in Houston for family and friends. We had such a wonderful time - and it's always sad to leave. We had a great turn out and, of course, received wonderful gifts for our baby girl! We feel so entirely blessed to have the family and friends that we have. We love you all so very much and a HUGE thank you to Julie, Mom, and Mandy!!! Thanks to everyone who could make it out!!!

Alvarado, TX Baby Shower

On Saturday, Aug 29th, Bev Kelly, Kim King, and Amanda Kelly threw Monte and I the most wonderful couple's baby shower for lil girl White at our house in Alvarado! We had a great turn out of lots of family and friends and sooo much good food (and, of course, beer for the boys!) We got a lots of great stuff for her and we have officially started putting her room together since Evelyn (Monte's mom) is here for a week to help out! Thanks Bevy, Kim, and Amanda!!!!!

Richard Petty Driving Experience Weekend

August 1st....the day FINALLY came! Monte's big racing debut! Dad, Julie, Madison, and Reagan came up from Houston for the weekend to celebrate Monte's big 3-0! Not only did they show up ....but so did some random north Texas thunderstorms. This, of course, meant a rain delay for Monte's driving expereience. POOP! Well, since we LOVE Monte so much (because we got up at 5am to witness this wonderful experience) we did manage to get some pictures taken, plus, we had the rest of the day with family! Monte's dad, Kim, and his brothers (Hunter, Blaine, and Grant) also showed up to see Monte's big day as well... Soooo we try again the next day. Here a few pictures from the rainy day, Saturday.

After our rain delay on Saturday, Monte's dad and family came over the the house to visit. We ended up being pretty productive and moved some furniture upstairs to make room for Baby White. We even got our baby furniture put together!!! We are making progress! We celebrated that evening at Joe T's in Ft. Worth! We all big bellies by the time we left. Such great Mexican food!

Sunday came and off to Texas Motor Speedway for try #2. Dad, Julie and the kids came as well as Adam, Kim, and Holton and Patrick and Amanda. Julie, Amanda, Kim, and Adam did ride alongs too! They had a blast! Such a fabulous time and what a wonderful a lifetime experience.

Monte's 30th

Monte celebrated his 30th birthday on the 11th. Mom was passing through town and took us out Friday night to eat at the Oasis on Joe Poole Lake in Grand Prairie for an early birthday present! We had a blast!!! Nothing better than sitting on the lake! On Saturday, Monte, Patrick, Matt, Laura, and I went to try our luck at Lone Star Park watching the horses run. We figured since it was Monte's bday that we would have so luck...sadly that was not the case. Monte has received a TON of cards from family and friends and just a few gifts to open on his actual birthday...(with the help of Transformers!), however, his BIG present is on Aug. 1st when he drives in the Richard Petty Driving Experience. Can't wait!!!
